COLCHESTER, Vt. - Eleven Saint Michael's College women's tennis players qualified for Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar-Athlete status for the 2025-26 school year, it was announced on Tuesday, while the Purple Knight squad drew an ITA All-Academic Team accolade.
 
Saint Michael's paced all NCAA East Region schools in number of selections for the second straight year, at least tying for the Northeast 10 Conference lead for the fifth time in eight years.
 
Rising seniors Jaylin Bedard (Fairfield, Vt./BFA-Saint Albans), Emma Gredenhag (Jacksonville, Fla./Bishop Kenny), Lyla Rouleau (Saint Albans, Vt./BFA-Saint Albans) and Emily Winefield (Merrimack, N.H./Merrimack), rising juniors Annabelle Aldrete (Wichita, Kan./Andover eCademy), Kasey Johnson (Naples, Maine/Lake Region), Lucy McPherson (Vancouver, British Columbia/Magee Secondary School), Katie Rocha (Stratham, N.H./Exeter) and Jedidah Xu (Ellington, Conn./Ellington), and rising sophomores Olivia Larsen (Riverview, New Brunswick/Riverview) and Ana Maria Ricaurte (Guayaquil, Ecuador/Colegio Alemán Humboldt de Guayaquil) were all named ITA Scholar-Athletes, necessitating a minimum 3.5 grade-point average during the school year.
 
With every member of the team earning an accolade, the Purple and Gold qualifiers were among 34 women from the NE10 named ITA Scholar-Athlete, as 649 student-athletes across NCAA Division II claimed recognition. Bedard, Gredenhag, Johnson, Rocha, Winefield and Xu all earned their second career ITA laurels.
 
The Purple Knights were among four NE10 programs to garner ITA All-Academic Team honors. In all, 95 programs from Division II qualified by posting a 3.2 GPA or better for the most recent school year.
 
The Saint Michael's men also landed the team accolade, as the College was among 68 Division II institutions whose men and women both earned the honor for the 2025-26 school year. David Moore recently completed his second school year as head coach of both squads at Saint Michael's.
