WORCESTER, Mass. - The Saint Michael's College women's tennis team lost to Assumption University, 6-1, on Saturday during Northeast 10 Conference play at the Assumption Tennis Courts.

THE ACTION

• Assumption dropped only three games during a doubles sweep, with Larsen and junior Lucy McPherson's (Vancouver, British Columbia/Magee Secondary School) 6-2 loss at No. 1 the closest decision.
• After McPherson opened singles play with a 6-3, 6-3 loss in the top spot, Larsen earned a 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 2, improving to 3-1 this season, to draw the Purple Knights within 2-1.
• While looking to tie the match, senior Emma Gredenhag (Jacksonville, Fla./Bishop Kenny) took her opening set at No. 3 in a tiebreaker during an eventual 6-7 (4-7), 6-2, 6-3 loss.
• Greyhounds lost a total of three games in the fourth and fifth spots to clinch the triumph.
• Junior Annabelle Aldrete (Wichita, Kan./Andover eCademy) rounded out the singles contests with a 6-3, 6-3 defeat in the sixth spot.
