COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College Associate Director of Athletics Annie Martin '19 announced the hire of Brendan Zaleski as Manager of Athletic Equipment and Game Operations on Wednesday, effective Aug. 10.
 
Zaleski most recently served as a facilities and event operations graduate assistant at Virginia Commonwealth University during the 2025-26 school year. In that role, he assisted with the daily operation of athletic facilities, trained student employees for game operations, and supported game day operations for such NCAA Division I programs as men's and women's basketball, field hockey, women's lacrosse, men's and women's soccer, and women's volleyball.
 
Zaleski was an event operations intern during the summer of 2024 for the Hartford (Conn.) Athletic professional soccer team before working on the course operations staff at Indian Hill Country Club in Newington, Conn., last summer.
 
A native of Wethersfield, Conn., Zaleski completed his master of sports leadership degree in one year at VCU in May. In 2025, he earned a bachelor of science in marketing, with a minor in law and business, at Lasell University in Newton, Mass. Zaleski was a four-year member of the Laser baseball team, posting a 3-3 record in 40 pitching outings, including 30 in relief, striking out 47 batters in 64.1 career innings. He was also vice president of the Lasell Student Alumni Association and a member of Lasell's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
