THE ACTION
  • Follansbee accounted for the only first-half scoring during the 28th minute, working her way through a double team to get past the final Tiger defenders and alone on Preuhs before popping a shot inside the right post.
  • During the 70th minute, Brookes slipped a pass at the midfield stripe for senior Bridget Hanley (Mansfield, Mass./Mansfield), who sent the ball into space for Gormley out on the left flank. Gormley's one-touch return cross through the box found the right post and Brookes, who tucked a shot inside the far post for a 2-0 lead.
  • Shortly thereafter, Brookes' cross in the box was left by Damori for Peterson, who tallied on a vacated left side of the net during the 75th minute.
  • Only 2:47 later, Damori finished junior Sam McDonough's (Walkersville, Md./Walkersville) cross for her team's third goal in a matter of 8:22.
