THE ACTION
  • The Purple Knights had a good look in the ninth minute, when first-year Sebastian Zurria's (Doral, Fla./Doral Academy Prep) header inside the box from classmate Jackoby Pelland's (Dighton, Mass./Mount Saint Charles Academy) cross was corralled by Berini.
  • Fisher took the lead at 18:21 when Ron banged home senior Edwin Gonzalez's cross from the left wing.
  • Saint Michael's had a chance to tie in the 25th minute, when Hendrie was taken down in the box and a penalty kick was awarded, but Berini dove to deny the ensuing penalty kick.
  • The hosts nearly tied the game in the 75th minute, but Berini punched away first-year Gianluci Frenzilli's (North Kingstown, R.I./Mount Saint Charles Academy) lefty drive from 25 yards over the crossbar. On the ensuing corner kick, sophomore Noah Izquierdo (Minnetonka, Minn./Minnetonka) had a bid tapped away near the crossbar by the netminder. A third shot was blocked.
  • The Purple Knights found the equalizer with 81:11 gone, as Hendrie's free kick found Hunter, whose shot back across the box slipped inside the left post.
  • However, Di Biase buried a left-footed free kick from the right side of the field just 1:22 later to put the Falcons back ahead.
  • Hunter was turned away by Berini in the 87th minute before junior Del DiBona's (Cohasset, Mass./Boston College HS) bid sailed over the crossbar in the 89th minute for the game's final shot.
