THE ACTION

• The Purple Knights maintained a 3-2 lead in shots during a scoreless opening period before Ryan cracked a shot from the edge of the circle in the 17th minute that put Bentley ahead.
• DeBaggis answered in the 22nd minute, blasting a shot from the right side of the circle into the far upper left corner.
• Stagnone found the winner in the 27th minute, recollecting a mishandled pass from junior Eveline Ronzoni and lifting a close-range shot over Foecking.
• Russell padded the lead to 3-1 in the 39th minute, drilling a backhanded shot from the perimeter into the top right corner of the net.
• Bentley added a pair of goals in the closing minutes, with Krepelka backhanding home a rebound out front at 58:35 and Gallinelli diving to redirect senior Isabella Tuccio's cross with 3.7 seconds remaining.
