Anne Noone Adams M'84 returns to the Saint Michael's field hockey program for her 15th season as an assistant coach in 2025 after a legendary 13-year head coaching career at the College.

Adams guided Saint Michael's between 1985 and 1997, with her teams posting a 127-79-8 mark during those 13 seasons, and completed her career as the winningest coach in school annals. The program, which did not play in a conference during her first 11 years, qualified for the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Tournament four times, winning the crown in 1988. That team was the first women's squad to win a team sport championship in the history of athletics at the College. In 1996, the first year the Northeast-10 Conference sponsored a field hockey tournament, Adams led the team to a 5-1 league mark and a spot in the first NE10 Championship title game.

Adams played on two of the earliest Purple Knight teams, in 1976 and 1977, before playing her final two years at the University of Vermont. She has twice been enshrined in the Saint Michael's Athletic Hall of Fame, first as an individual in 2006 and again with the 1988 field hockey team in 2010. Adams earned her master's degree from the College in 1984.
