THE ACTION
- Three different Chargers scored en route to giving their team a 7-0 lead by 7:37 of the opening quarter, and the hosts eventually led 15-2 on King's lay-in at 4:56.
- Ladas' driving lay-up was followed by a pair of Anderson three-pointers 31 seconds apart, and the Purple Knights were within five points by 3:50.
- New Haven scored the final nine points of the quarter to lead 24-10 after 10 minutes.
- Bacaliu's triple pushed the Charger lead to 31-15 at 5:10 of the second quarter, and the hosts still led 36-21 following King's lay-in with 2:19 left.
- The Purple Knights ended the half with the final seven points, capping a stretch that saw the bench score 13 straight points. Blake's second jumper in a minute sparked the run, at 1:59, before first-year Molly Brophy (Greenwich, N.Y./Greenwich Central School) buried a three-pointer 20 seconds later. Laggis' put-back at 52 seconds brought the visitors within 36-28 by halftime.
