THE ACTION
- Rookies made the Purple Knights' first three baskets, as the hosts trailed just 10-6 by 13:34 of the opening half thanks to hoops by Crews, Oyigbo and first-year Nic Button (Skaneateles, N.Y./Cheshire Academy).
- The Ravens used a 12-3 run to push their lead to 13, with Heter netting all three Purple Knight points, but Crews' jumper made it 22-11 at 6:16.
- Franklin Pierce countered with a 26-9 run, making eight three-pointers in as many attempts during one 4:39 stretch, including on seven consecutive possessions. Zegarowski knocked down three of them, and Moore made one and assisted five more. The visitors led 48-22 at halftime.
