• Blaney put home a second effort out front at 4:39 of the second frame, but Taylor found the equalizer at 10:12 with a backhander from the doorstep. Senior Owen Rudicus (Duxbury, Mass./Tabor Academy) and junior Gabriel Gagnon (Mascouche, Quebec/East Coast Wizards) assisted.
• Late in the stanza, a trio of first-years combined on the Purple Knights' go-ahead strike, as Ashton Allain's (Brentwood, Tenn./Walpole Express) pass was tipped by Lincourt at the edge of the left circle to the top corner on Howard's glove side. Jake Leale (Suffern, N.Y./Connecticut RoughRiders) had the secondary helper.
• Only 19 seconds into the third period, Hayes picked off a pass inside the Saint Michael's zone, carried into the left circle and beat Murphy to the blocker side.
• At 7:14, Hayes sent home a one-timer from the right circle during a power play to put the visitors back in front.
• The Purple Knights went on a power play at 18:37 while looking to draw even and put five shots on net that Howard was credited with stopping, including a pair of goals that were waved off during the final minute.
