FLUSHING, N.Y. - The Saint Michael's College men's basketball team knocked down 21 second-half free throws in 23 tries to rally past Queens (N.Y.) College, 64-53, on Monday evening in Fitzgerald Gymnasium.

THE ACTION
- Herrington's four points led four Queens scorers as the hosts nabbed a 12-3 lead by 11:50 of the opening half.
- Kabimba netted four points during a 9-0 run that gave Saint Michael's a 20-19 edge by 3:38, when Brown knocked down two free throws. Those freebies forced the first of four ties and five lead swings down the stretch, with the visitors taking a 27-26 lead into halftime thanks to Reid's buzzer-beating lay-up.
- Seraphin put home a pair of baskets as the Knights started the second half on an 11-2 run, capped by Herrington's lay-in with 16:58 to go, and Queens was up 37-29.
- Kabimba's lay-up just 2:06 later finished off a tying 8-0 run by Saint Michael's.
- Neither team led by more than four points again until the Purple Knights used a 15-2 stretch to lead 64-49 with 5:38 left. Thirteen of the 17 points - including 10 by the Purple and Gold - came on free throws.
