- Sophomore Matt Hofrenning had six points during an 8-0 Raven run, as the hosts pushed the lead to 27-17 on junior Derrick Obanor's triple at 6:34.
- Behind eight points from Button, Saint Michael's edged within 31-30 at 1:32, and Franklin Pierce took a 36-33 lead into the locker room.
- Five straight points from Crews again brought the visitors within one (41-40) by 16:27 of the second stanza.
- Moore's trey extended the lead to 57-49 at 10:11, but five straight Battle points capped an 11-2 run that pushed the Purple and Gold into a 60-59 lead with 6:22 left.
- Moore responded with a three 18 seconds later, but Gardner's lay-in tied the game at 5:04.
- First-year Mohamed Traore countered with a transition three with 4:30 left, and the hosts took a four-point edge three times on Moore baskets.
- Duniver's lay-up created a 73-71 margin with 1:02 left, but Moore's lay-up at 12 ticks made it a four-point game. The Purple Knights missed their final shot and were forced to foul before running out of time.
