Box Score RINDGE, N.H. - Junior Anika Kapral's (Dummerston, Vt./Vermont Academy) tie-breaking basket with 19 seconds left lifted the Saint Michael's College women's basketball team past regionally-regarded Franklin Pierce University, 78-74, on Saturday in the FPU Fieldhouse. The Ravens received a vote toward this week's D2SIDA East Region Media Poll.

THE ACTION
- Anderson's three-pointer had Saint Michael's up 7-2 at 8:04 of the first quarter before the visitors twice led by seven, including on MacDonough's jumper at 4:07 (16-9).
- The Purple Knights continued to lead into the middle portion of the second period, with Anderson's triple keeping them up 28-24 with 5:54 left, before Franklin Pierce took its first lead (29-28) on Sulejmani's trey at 5:13.
- Anderson countered with a jumper before MacDonough netted five points to cap a 7-0 run, and the visitors led 39-38 at halftime.
- Vazquez Segura's three 17 seconds into the third period pushed the Ravens into the lead, but MacDonough provided a personal 8-0 run in a matter of 38 seconds to provide a 47-41 cushion.
- Carter scored five points as part of a 9-0 response before MacDonough twice made tying hoops. - The Purple Knights missed a go-ahead shot with 35 seconds left, but Kapral grabbed the rebound before rolling to the basket to take MacDonough's pass and finishing around the rim at 19 seconds.
- Down two with a chance to tie or take the lead, Franklin Pierce missed a tying lay-up with eight seconds left that Kapral rebounded, and Slaven connected on a pair of free throws to ice the win.
