GAME FACTS
- Anderson pushed her career point total to 1,008, becoming the first 1,000-point scorer at Saint Michael's since Indira Evora '17 reached the mark on Feb. 15, 2017. Standing at 999 points, Anderson reached the milestone with a lay-up off of a Slaven feed with 2:25 remaining in the third quarter.
- The Purple Knights were edged just 33-32 in rebounding while shooting 42.6% to Assumption's 44.3%.
THE ACTION
- Cramb hit a three-pointer eight seconds into the game before the Purple Knights rallied within one point three times, including at 7-6 on Anderson's lay-up at 7:01 of the first quarter.
- With Saint Michael's down just 17-13 after two Slaven free throws at 8:46 of the second, Cramb's jumper kicked off a 10-0 run, which Armstrong capped with the final six points.
- Hammersley's triple pushed the lead to 30-15 at 3:46 before Blake countered with a trey 37 seconds later, and MacDonough's second-effort jumper made it a 10-point game with 1:54 left.
- Assumption led by 13 at the half before Kapral had four points and Anderson a triple during a 7-0 run that made it 40-34 by 5:26 of the third period.
- The Greyhounds pushed their lead back to 10, but Saint Michael's ended the quarter with another 7-0 spurt, with Slaven capping the stretch by converting a three-point play at 1:07, creating a 44-41 margin.
- Hammersley hit a pair of threes early in the fourth quarter, helping Assumption extended its lead back to 13, at 60-47, and the Purple Knights came no closer than eight points down the stretch.
