Box Score 2 RINDGE, N.H. - The Saint Michael's College softball team opened Northeast-10 Conference play on Saturday with a pair of losses to Franklin Pierce University, which entered action as one of two remaining undefeated Division II squads, and among five across NCAA softball without a loss. The Purple Knights fell 6-0 and 11-2 in six innings at Bisaccia Field.

THE ACTION
- Arruda and Connor walked consecutively with one out in the second inning before first-year MacKenzie Pisani (Hudson Falls, N.Y./Hudson Falls) was hit by a pitch one out later to load the bases, but Gonzalez induced an inning-ending popup.
- The first two Ravens were retired in the third before a walk and consecutive hit batters loaded the bags. Cangiano followed with a bases-clearing triple and scored on sophomore Haley Bigwood's RBI knock.
- Hinckley's solo home run pushed the lead to 5-0 in the fifth.

THE ACTION
- Franklin Pierce broke a scoreless deadlock with three two-out runs in the third inning, as Hinckley knocked an RBI double before Cangiano hit a two-run home run.
- Connor, Johns and Sroczinski all singled in the fourth, but Saint Michael's left the bases loaded without scoring.
- Five more Raven runs came home in the bottom half, as four scored with two down. Hinckley's two-run homer keyed the frame.
- Waghorn ripped an RBI single in the fifth before Connor added an RBI double, with both hits coming with two down.
