- Connor doubled to right center leading off a scoreless first inning before picking up another opposite-field knock in the third, singling into right center to bring home junior Haley Waghorn (Saratoga Springs, N.Y./Saratoga Springs), who had been hit by a pitch.
- After the Chargers were limited to four base runners in the first five innings against three pitchers, Bike led off the sixth with a long double that narrowly missed leaving the yard, and New Haven loaded the bases with one down. However, the final hitter grounded into an unconventional 5-2 double play, with third baseman Arruda tagging third before throwing to the plate for Connor, who tagged the runner coming home.
- Devens led off the sixth with a double before Brandenburg, a pinch runner, scored on Iodice's first wild pitch of the year in her 18th start.
- With Saint Michael's leading 2-0, New Haven rallied for the tie in the seventh inning. Senior Hailey Polisano singled off the chalk in left field before Gottschall walked, and a groundout moved them both into scoring position. A wild pitch plated Polisano before Case's RBI single knotted the contest. Case advanced to third on two more wild pitches but was left there.
- The Purple Knights nearly won it in the home half, as Welter led off with a walk before getting to third with two down, but a popup ended the threat.
- New Haven loaded the bases with two out in the eighth, but Cherry induced an inning-ending groundout.
- Sophomore Angelica Johns (Westbrook, Maine/Westbrook) started the rally in the bottom portion, singling to center with one out. One out later, Morey lined a long single to the left center fence, and Johns raced all the way home from first for the walk-off win.
