THE ACTION
- The Purple Knights swung a 9-6 deficit in their favor behind a 7-0 run, as Brzezinski hit a three-pointer before Milojevic's lay-in made it 13-9 at 12:18 of the opening half.
- Adelphi responded with three consecutive triples, as Price, Walton and graduate student Ronnie Silva buried threes to produce a five-point lead with 9:24 to go.
- Yepdo's lay-up tied the teams at 20 at 7:24, but Lewis hit a three 22 seconds later and Walton converted a three-point play at 5:40 to push the lead to 26-20.
- Lewis knocked down a three to extend the Panther advantage to 37-28 17 seconds into the second half, and the visitors continued to lead by at least two possessions until the latter stages.
- Reid's three-point play at 7:35 and a pair of free throws by Duniver 23 seconds later drew Saint Michael's within 50-48, and Brzezinski knocked down a three to cut the deficit to 54-53 at 3:34.
- The Purple Knights moved back in front on Reid's two free throws at 1:53, and Yepdo hit one freebie to make it 56-54 at 30.4 seconds.
- Adelphi missed an initial three-pointer on the ensuing possession, but Walton rebounded and kicked out for Price, who connected on a go-ahead three from the right wing with 1.9 ticks to go.
- Inbounding underneath the Panther basket, the Purple Knights made it just across midcourt before a desperation shot at the buzzer was off the mark.
