THE ACTION
- Three different players scored as AIC forged a 7-0 lead by 18:03 of the opening half.
- After trailing 12-4, the Purple Knights rallied within 14-12 on first-year Matt Houde's (Windsor Locks, Conn./Saint Thomas More School) three-pointer at 11:22.
- AIC responded with the next nine points before extending its lead to 34-20 on a pair of Balde free throws with 1:02 to go.
- Crews scored the next five points before halftime, and Duniver buried a triple 1:22 into the second half to make it 34-28.
- Jett-Dobbs scored the first four points in a 6-0 AIC counter, and the hosts continued to lead by at least two possessions until Crews' lay-up brought Saint Michael's within 52-49 at 5:27.
- The Yellow Jackets scored the next 13 points by 1:18, ultimately finishing the game on a 19-5 run.
