SHELTON, Conn. - The Saint Michael's College women's ice hockey team lost to Post University, 1-0, to wrap a New England Women's Hockey Alliance (NEWHA) weekend set on Saturday at the Sports Center of Connecticut.

THE ACTION

• Saint Michael's opened the game on a power play but did not get any shots on net during the two minutes.
• The visitors held a 15-4 lead in second-period shots, as both teams went scoreless, including during one woman advantage apiece.
• Mickevicius converted the only goal of the game 10:18 into the third period on a power play, taking first-year Macy Peterson's feed out front and quickly turning to beat Gyurko.
• With Gyurko pulled for the better part of the final 1:19 of regulation, sophomore Lauren Fisher (Rothesay, New Brunswick/Rothesay Netherwood School) had three looks at the net, with her lone bid on target being turned aside by Saunders in the closing 30 seconds.
