COLCHESTER, Vt. - Junior Romar Reid's (Mount Vernon, N.Y./Woodstock Academy/Manhattan) go-ahead three-pointer with 1:17 remaining gave the Saint Michael's College men's basketball team the lead for good, and the Purple Knights used a game-ending 10-0 run to close out Le Moyne College, 71-64, on Wednesday in Northeast-10 Conference play at the Ross Sports Center. The Dolphins received votes toward this week's D2SIDA East Region Media Poll.
After recognizing two seniors on Feb. 4, the Purple Knights honored their final senior during a pregame ceremony prior to their final home game, as fifth-year Kasai Brown (Brooklyn, N.Y./Millbrook School) will graduate in May.

THE ACTION
- Le Moyne led 6-2 at 16:25 of the opening half before Saint Michael's responded with the next 13 points by 10:57, as Oyigbo buried a pair of three-pointers and Reid scored five points.
- The Purple Knights' lead grew to 21-11 on Battle's lay-in with 7:38 to go.
- Le Moyne trimmed its deficit to four points three times before Reid's buzzer-beating floater sent the hosts into the locker room with a 33-25 lead.
- Saint Michael's was ahead 41-30 on Reid's triple at 17:54 of the second half before the Dolphins put together a 16-1 counter, as six players scored. Salter's trey made it 46-42 by 11:58. That lead swing was the first of nine in a 5:42 span, which included six lead changes in as many possessions between 8:19 and 6:51.
- Salter's jumper at the end of the shot clock produced a 64-61 Le Moyne lead with 3:05 to go, but first-year Darrel Yepdo (Dracut, Mass./Brooks School) hit a pair of free throws at 2:14, and Reid knocked down a step-back three at 1:17 to give Saint Michael's a 66-64 edge.
- Le Moyne missed its next shot, with Duniver grabbing the board, and Reid hit a pair of big free throws at 36.3 ticks to make it a 68-64 game. Battle then snagged a rebound and connected on two free throws at 22.7 seconds, and the Dolphins missed a three-point try with 13 seconds left, Reid pulling the board and hitting a freebie. In all, the Purple Knights held Le Moyne to 0-for-5 shooting with a turnover in the final 3:04 while themselves going 7-for-8 in that time and making their only field goal attempt, Reid's go-ahead three.
