MANCHESTER, N.H. - The Saint Michael's College men's basketball team lost to Saint Anselm College, 89-72, on Saturday during Northeast-10 Conference action in Stoutenburgh Gymnasium. The Hawks received votes toward this week's D2SIDA National Media Poll, are among 10 teams under consideration for the NCAA East Region rankings, and sit third in the latest D2SIDA East Region Media Poll.

- After scoring in double figures four times in his first 38 career games, Battle averaged 20.0 points on 15-of-23 shooting (65.2%) the past two games in 24.5 minutes off the bench. He set a career high in scoring for the second straight game.
THE ACTION
- Five straight points from Yepdo gave Saint Michael's an 8-2 edge by 16:12 of the opening half, but the Hawks countered with the next 19 points, at one point hitting four consecutive three-point tries.
- Yepdo knocked down a triple to bring the Purple Knights within 31-23 with 4:31 to go before Saint Anselm netted the next nine points in a matter of 1:26 to forge a 17-point lead.
- Five straight points from Yepdo and a pair of Oyigbo free throws cut the deficit to 40-30 with 34 seconds to go.
- However, Tention hit a three 14 seconds later, kickstarting a 17-3 run that gave Saint Anselm a 24-point lead with 13:19 left in regulation. The visitors never again trailed by fewer than 13 points.
