Women's Basketball Caps Regular Season with Loss at Regionally-Ranked SNHU

MANCHESTER, N.H. - The Saint Michael's College women's basketball team completed its season regular with a 56-39 loss at regionally-ranked Southern New Hampshire University on Tuesday during a Northeast-10 Conference affair in Stan Spirou Field House. The Penmen are among 10 teams under consideration in the NCAA East Region rankings.

THE ACTION

  • MacDonough scored the Purple Knights' first two baskets, bringing her team within 4-2 at 7:50 of the first quarter and 9-4 on a jumper with 6:05 to go.
  • Slaven's jumper at 4:07 made it 11-8 before the Penmen scored the next 14 points to pull away. The visitors never again trailed by fewer than 15 points.
