WEST HAVEN, Conn. - The Saint Michael's College men's basketball team was trimmed by the University of New Haven, 55-48, on Tuesday evening during Northeast-10 Conference play in Charger Gymnasium. New Haven was sixth in this week's D2SIDA East Region Media Poll.

THE ACTION
- Brzezinski buried a three-pointer 1:16 into the game before Milojevic's lay-up 30 seconds later had Saint Michael's 5-1, but New Haven responded with a 16-4 run to lead 17-9 on Thomas' bucket at 11:38.
- Duniver's triple brought Saint Michael's within five (19-14) before the Chargers put together an 8-2 stretch to claim a 27-16 lead with 4:48 to go, but Oyigbo knocked down a three at 36 seconds to make it 32-23 by halftime.
- New Haven used a 14-1 run early in the second half to grab its largest lead, 48-27, on Olawoye's lay-up with 9:09 left in regulation before the Purple Knights made a charge.
- Five players scored, led by Brzezinski's five points, as the Purple and Gold scored 13 straight points to edge within 48-40 with 3:39 to go. Oyigbo's trey at 1:44 cut the deficit to 52-45, and Milojevic's baby hook produced a 52-47 margin at 1:14.
- The Chargers turned the ball over three seconds later, but a Purple Knight three-point attempt at 48 seconds was blocked by Majak.
- Another New Haven giveaway and ensuing foul sent Yepdo to the foul line at 18.7 ticks, when he split a pair of freebies to make it a 52-48 game.
- However, Thomas knocked down two from the charity stripe at 7.9 seconds, and New Haven came up with a quick steal to seal the win.
