SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Saint Michael's College men's lacrosse team remained tied deep into the third quarter with No. 1 Le Moyne College on Saturday before losing a 14-6 Northeast-10 Conference decision on Ted Grant Field. The Purple Knights received votes toward this week's United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) national poll, which has the Dolphins slotted first. Le Moyne was a 2022 NCAA semifinalist.

THE ACTION
- After Pezzimenti (12:25) and Caves (9:48) staked Le Moyne to a 2-0 lead with 5:12 gone in the opening quarter, the Purple Knights responded with a 3-0 spurt. Simonson scored off of Collins' feed at 8:25, Collins tallied 2:23 later, and Simonson converted Hughes' pass with 3:26 left, capping the visitors' quick run that took 4:59 to elapse. It marked only the second time this year a Le Moyne opponent rallied from a multi-goal deficit to take a lead on the Dolphins.
- Sheehan and Constable both countered with markers to give the host a 4-3 lead by 9:30 of the second quarter, but Reyes struck for a pair of tying goals in the frame, including with 1:52 to go, and the teams headed into halftime tied at five.
- After more than five minutes of scoreless action to begin the third stanza, Sheehan found the net at 9:20, the first of four Dolphin tallies in a matter of 5:18, kicking off a game-clinching 8-0 run.
- Collins capped the scoring with eight seconds left.
