Men's Soccer Knots AIC, 1-1, on Kull's Late Goal

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Saint Michael's College men's soccer team earned a point in a Northeast-10 Conference road game for the second time in four days on Tuesday evening, drawing regionally-ranked American International College, 1-1, at Abdow Field. All of the scoring was done in a 45-second span late in the second half. The Yellow Jackets were sixth in this week's United Soccer Coaches East Region poll.

THE ACTION
  • The Purple Knights nearly broke the deadlock in the 31st minute, but senior Dan Colbert (Scituate, Mass./Walpole) drilled the crossbar from 20 yards out.
  • Barrett made a diving save of graduate student Gabriele Valerio's flick from the middle of the box in the 37th minute.
  • All of the scoring came in the final six minutes of the contest. In the 85th minute, Schramm's corner kick found the head of Kull, who redirected the cross at the close post to put his team on top.
  • Only 45 seconds later, Taleb found the equalizer, one-touching first-year Gabriel Nissen's cross home at 85:21. Neither team sent another shot on net.
