GAME FACTS

THE ACTION
  • Wallace put AIC on the board on the first shot of the game, tipping Bok's drive from the edge of the circle during a penalty corner sequence in the fifth minute.
  • The Purple Knights drew even during a corner set of their own late in the opening stanza. After senior Bridgie Loughlin's (Kingston, N.Y./Kingston) initial shot was blocked, junior Morgan Cathcart (Wethersfield, Conn./Wethersfield) pounced on the rebound and sent it on net, where Constant came up with her defensive save. However, Medeiros pushed home the third bid by the hosts with one second left.
  • Watt made three second-period stops, keeping AIC scoreless despite a 7-1 shot edge by the visitors.
  • Bok broke the deadlock 54 seconds into the fourth period, going five-hole on Watt after taking senior Dominique Bassallo's centering pass.
  • Szafran padded the lead only 5:17 later, at 51:11, tallying on a rebound after Bok's initial shot was blocked.
