MANCHESTER, N.H. - The Saint Michael's College field hockey team lost to Southern New Hampshire University, 2-1, on Saturday at Larkin Field. The Purple Knights played the second of three consecutive non-league contests against Northeast-10 Conference opponents.

THE ACTION
- During a 10th-minute penalty corner set, the third Purple Knight shot came off the stick of Loughlin, who slipped the ball inside the left side of the cage following Comiskey's centering feed.
- Southern New Hampshire answered in the 34th minute, as Hendriks sent a penalty corner shot from the perimeter just beyond O'Connor outstretched right leg.
- O'Connor denied senior Emma Thibodeau's bid in the 41st minute, but Crocombe followed by batting the rebound out of the air for the eventual game-winner.
- Senior Danielle Cummings (Swanton, Vt./Missisquoi Valley Union) picked off an errant pass deep in the Penmen end in the closing minute of regulation before feeding Loughlin, who gained the circle and sent a final shot on Peeters while under pressure from a defender with 41 seconds to go.
