THE ACTION
- Stonehill scored the first goal of the game at 4:59 in the first period when Russell took a backhander in front of the crease and slotted the puck past Lavender on an assist from Walkom.
- The Skyhawks doubled their lead at 8:26 when Petford took the puck behind the net and found a crashing Sacca in the slot, where she took a one-timer to score.
- Slocum netted the third goal for Stonehill at 5:39 in the second period after the puck became loose in front of the net and she poked it past Lavender, assisted by Russell and senior Grace Parker.
- The Skyhawks scored at 11:11 when Petford took a one-timer in between faceoff circles on a bouncing puck that put the Skyhawks up 4-0, assisted by sophomore Sarah Taylar.
- Stonehill scored their final goal of the night at 12:49 when first-year Peyton Wise and Russell connected on passes that found Feeney on a breakout play that she capitalized on to put the Skyhawks up 5-0.
- During a Skyhawk power play in the third period, Ruiz stole the puck in the faceoff circle from a defender and found Canterbury, who took a wrist shot that went bar-down 2:30 in to put the Purple Knights on the board.
- Gyurko made 14 saves in a shutout final period to stop the Skyhawks from extending their lead.
