THE ACTION

• Lavender kept Assumption off the board by making four stops during an eight-second stretch that began at 10:29 of the opening frame.
• During a second-period power play, the Purple Knights put four shots on net in a 20-second span around the four-minute mark, but Mudrak denied them all.
• Chaplain broke the deadlock at 5:59, tapping home first-year Ella Rago's backdoor pass to the far post.
• Lavender kept it a 1-0 game by denying junior Sheridan Terrazzano's breakaway bid with three defenders bearing down on her.
• Kirkeby doubled the lead with 13:45 gone, beating Lavender to her glove side from the right circle.
• A five-goal third period began when LeBlanc pushed home the rebound of Jerylo's saved shot after 2:25, bringing Saint Michael's within a goal.
• Hanrahan struck at 5:07, roofing a shot from the left circle to reestablish the two-goal lead.
• At 10:31, the Purple Knights again made it a one-goal game, as Gerebi stuffed a loose puck near the left post back into the crease, where Ruiz pushed it home.
• Hanrahan tallied on the power play at 15:29 before lending an assist on Agerter's odd-woman strike 2:22 later that iced the victory.
