THE ACTION
- AIC thrice led by four points mid-set in the opening set for the largest lead by either team. Down 23-21, the Purple Knights reached set point thanks to a 3-0 run that Schulze and Almeida capped with kills. After an AIC timeout, the hosts rattled off the final three points, winning on Michel's kill.
- Neither team led by more than two points in the second set until Yeoman played a hand in a tandem block that made it 11-8, sparking a clinching 15-4 run that featured nine aces.
- In set No. 3, Saint Michael's trimmed a 10-point deficit to 17-11 on the strength of three straight Orth aces, but the visitors came no closer.
