GAME FACTS
- Noci became the sixth player in program history to register three assists in a game, but the first in an NE10 contest. Ken O'Toole '00 was the last Purple Knight with three helpers, on Sept. 23, 1996, against Vermont State University Johnson. Noci is the second Saint Michael's player with three assists in a road game, joining Humberto Cosenza '65, who performed the feat on Oct. 1, 1963, in a double-overtime contest at Saint Lawrence University.
- Saint Michael's is now 22-12-6 in the all-time series against the Greyhounds, winning at Assumption for the first time since Sept. 5, 2015.
- Assumption held a 5-1 advantage on corner kicks during the game, as well as 17-12 lead in shots.
- Wade Jean now has 89 wins as Saint Michael's head coach, within one of Les Johnson's (1983-96) program record. Jean also owns 198 victories as a college head coach.
THE ACTION
- Noci sent a cross into the box off a free kick in the fourth minute that found Macias-Cazorla, who was able to find the back of the net to give the Purple Knights a 1-0 lead.
- The Purple Knights scored again in the 54th minute when Noci dribbled from past midfield down to the penalty box and took a shot that was blocked, and Butler was there to put in the rebound to double the lead.
- Riby-Williams connected in the 55th minute after he stole the ball in the box off an errant pass to make it 3-0 in favor of the visitors.
- Assumption scored its lone goal of the afternoon in the 64th minute when Karamelo put the rebound off Williamson's blocked shot past Smith to cut the lead down to 3-1.
- Aplicano added an insurance goal in the 71st minute on a diving header off a cross from Noci that found the bottom left corner of the net to make the score 4-1.
- Assumption had two shots in the final 10 minutes of the match, but both were blocked.
