CONTOOCOOK, N.H. - Saint Michael's College women's cross country sophomore
Fran Peterson (Barron, Wis./Barron) and first-year
Jersey Miller (Minneapolis, Minn./Saint Louis Park) both earned all-conference first team finishes during the Northeast-10 Conference Championship on Sunday at the Hopkinton State Fairgrounds. The women placed fifth among 11 schools, while the men claimed eighth.

TEAM RESULTS
- The Saint Michael's women, who were sixth in the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division II East Region poll, placed fifth among 11 schools with 124 points.
- Bentley University, the region's fifth-ranked team, won the championship with 68 points.
- The Purple Knight men, ranked 10th in the East by the USTFCCCA, took eighth among 11 schools with 179 points, their lowest total at an NE10 Championship since 2003 (155). Saint Michael's trailed the University of New Haven for seventh place by only six points, but its eighth-place showing matched the 2023 squad for the program's best NE10 Championship performance since 2004.
- Southern Connecticut State University, the No. 1 team in the region, won with 27 points.
- Peterson is the fourth women's runner in College history to earn multiple career all-conference first team honors and the third to accomplish the feat by her sophomore year, but the only one to achieve the latter since the program joined the NE10 in 1987.
- Miller became the fifth Purple Knight first-year to land on the NE10 All-Conference first team - necessitating a top-seven performance - with Peterson also among that quintet.
