Saint Michael's posted the third-highest win total in program history (24) and won the NE10 regular-season title by three games, claiming both its initial regular-season crown and NCAA Tournament berth since 2000-01 ... head coach Eric Eaton was recognized as National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) East District Coach of the Year and NE10 Coach of the Year ... the Purple Knights advanced as far as the Sweet 16 while hosting an NCAA regional for the first time since 1960 ... Saint Michael's set a school record for three-pointers (353) and was among the NCAA East Region leaders in such categories as fewest turnovers per game (11.3), three-pointers made per game (10.7) and field goal percentage defense (42.7%) ... the Purple Knights relied upon a balanced offense that saw seven different players average at least 7.0 points, with four reaching double-figure averages ... Saint Michael's had one of the best seasons in program history despite only eight players appearing in as many as 25 games. Seven players who did not appear last season, including a pair of transfers, bolsters a deep roster in 2024-25 ... the Purple and Gold was chosen first in this year's NE10 Preseason Coaches' Poll.

Saint Michael's visits Division I University of Vermont on Wednesday for their annual exhibition game ... the Purple Knights open regular-season play at the Assumption University Tip-Off Classic on Nov. 8-9 before opening their NE10 and home schedules versus Assumption on Nov. 13 ... fellow regionals qualifiers Southern Connecticut State University (Nov. 16, Feb. 1), Southern New Hampshire University (Nov. 26, Jan. 22) and Daemen University (Dec. 21) appear on the schedule ... Daemen, which returns to the Ross Sports Center as part of the Best Western Windjammer Doc Jacobs Classic, faces Saint Michael's as a rematch of last year's regional semifinal ... the Purple Knights square off with Southern New Hampshire in rematches of a 2024 NE10 Championship semifinal and the NCAA East Regional final ... the NE10 Championship begins on Feb. 28.
