WORCESTER, Mass. - The Saint Michael's College field hockey team lost to No. 6 Assumption University, 5-1, on Tuesday during Northeast-10 Conference action in Brian Kelly Stadium. The Greyhounds' national ranking is according to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA).

THE ACTION

• Rijks converted a penalty stroke in the sixth minute before Salah (14th) and Stone (15th) made it 3-0 before the end of the opening period.
• Beauparlant tallied off of Jackson's helper in the 25th minute, and Jackson added a 48th-minute goal.
• In the 58th minute, graduate student Bridgie Loughlin (Kingston, N.Y./Kingston) had a shot stopped by Gillette during a corner set, but Sapienza sent home the rebound off of the netminder.
