Women's Basketball Trims D'Youville, 58-56, on Santos' Late Bucket

BUFFALO, N.Y. - Sophomore Ruby Santos' (New Paltz, N.Y./Kent School) tie-breaking lay-up with 1:11 remaining lifted the Saint Michael's College women's basketball team past D'Youville University, 58-56, on Saturday in the Saints Center. The Purple and Gold is eighth in the latest D2CSC East Region Poll.

THE ACTION
  • After D'Youville scored the game's first four points, Saint Michael's netted the next 10, including four from Tyler.
  • The Saints turned in a 24-6 response, with Giancaterino scoring nine, and the hosts led 30-18 with 4:02 left in the second quarter. They extended the advantage to a game-high 36-23 by halftime.
