THE ACTION

• The Penmen scored the first seven points before Talbot's trio of buckets keyed an 8-2 run that brought Saint Michael's within 14-13 at 2:45 of the first quarter.
• Wager's three-pointer at 6:46 of the second stanza capped a 12-2 run during which she scored eight points, and the hosts led 31-17.
• Furch buried a triple at 4:57 to cut the deficit to 33-23, but the Penmen put together a 16-2 run that bridged halftime to take control.
