WEST HAVEN, Conn. - The Saint Michael's College women's basketball team lost to the University of New Haven, 71-42, on Saturday during Northeast-10 Conference play in the Jeffrey P. Hazell Athletic Center.

THE ACTION
  • The Chargers scored the first seven points of the game in the beginning 2:13 of the first stanza.
  • Brophy hit a three at 7:15 to cut the Chargers' lead to four before the host Chargers went on another 7-0 run to make the score 14-3 at 2:12 on Deshaies' shot at the charity stripe.
  • Nadeau hit a jumper at 1:53, but the Chargers closed out the first quarter with five more points to make the score 19-5.
  • New Haven started the second quarter with a 12-2 run on 5-for-9 shooting from the field, led by five points from junior Bianca Pendleton and capped off by Johnson's lay-up at 3:44.
  • The Chargers outscored the Purple Knights 18-13 in the third quarter to pull away in the second half.
  • The Purple Knights outscored the Chargers 20-13 in the fourth quarter but were unable to cut the deficit further.
