COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College recently announced the selection of 16 students for the annual Global Citizenship International Internship Program, supported by a grant from the Freeman Foundation. Seven of those students are also student-athletes at the College, and all will participate in eight-week internships in either Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, or Seoul, South Korea, during June and July.

Saint Michael's is one of 30 colleges and universities in the United States to receive this competitive grant from the Freeman Foundation to support the Global Citizenship International Internship Program, with the College sending students to East Asia through the program each year since 2018. This summer's record-high collection of seven student-athletes joins 10 student-athletes who previously earned the internship opportunity.

Women's swimming & diving is represented by a school-high three interns, in junior
Kaylan Conliffe (Windsor, Conn./Windsor) and sophomores
Katie Dzambo (Windermere, Fla./Bishop Moore) and
Ashley Silveira (Seekonk, Mass./Seekonk). Field hockey juniors
Morgan Cathcart (Wethersfield, Conn./Wethersfield) and
Chloe Sapienza (Georgetown, Mass./Georgetown), Alpine skiing junior
Sofie Gjetsund (Oslo, Norway/Persbråten VGS) and men's cross country junior
Pat McGloine (Schuylerville, N.Y./Schuylerville) round out the corps of student-athletes. Junior
Nunu Alimamy (Chelsea, Mass.), a member of the Athletic Communications staff, will also intern abroad thanks to the Global Citizenship International Internship Program.
