THE ACTION
- Kosiba netted her first goal of the day in the 16th minute after Gormley sent a pass to the right side of the field for Kosiba, who took one touch around a defender and slotted her shot on the right side of the net past Pite.
- The Purple Knights went up 2-0 in the 18th minute after Pite's attempt to clear a cross into the box found the feet of Kosiba, who sent a shot on net to double the visitors' lead.
- The Falcons cut the lead in half when Lesczynski was able to float a shot over Anastopoulos in the 33rd minute to make the score 2-1.
- The Purple Knights had 10 shots in the second half before Anastopoulos was tested in the 75th minute by senior Felicity Urias, making her first save of the afternoon.
- Senior Claire Williams (Saint Leonard, Md/Calvert) had an opportunity to stretch the lead in the 88th minute, but the chance was negated by Pite.
- Anastopoulos made a leaping save on Urias' chance with 15 seconds remaining to help her squad hold onto the win.
