COLCHESTER, Vt. - The Saint Michael's College women's basketball team lost to Franklin Pierce University, 61-43, on Saturday during Northeast-10 Conference action in the Ross Sports Center.

THE ACTION
  • The teams remained within two possessions of one another until Mulderig made a pair of free throws at 3:23 of the second quarter to give the Ravens a 16-9 edge. Bryant's basket just before the buzzer made it 21-12 at halftime.
  • Gonzalez's three-point play pushed the lead to 24-12 53 seconds into the third period before Furch buried a pair of three-pointers 55 seconds apart to bring her team within 26-18.
  • Franklin Pierce countered with an 11-2 run, and the hosts never again trailed by single digits.
