Men's Ice Hockey Falls to Middlebury in Non-Conference Action

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. -  The Saint Michael's College men's ice hockey team fell to Middlebury College, 7-0, in non-conference play on Tuesday at Kenyon Arena.

THE ACTION
  • The Panthers scored the first goal of the night at 5:36 in the first period when Myers took a pass from Moorhouse in front of the crease and tapped the puck in to give the hosts a 1-0 lead.
  • Middlebury doubled its lead at 7:48 on a power-play goal from May on a slapshot from the blue line to give the Panthers a 2-0 lead.
  • Oblak scored the third goal of the first period for the Panthers on a wrist shot that found the top right corner of the net after sophomore Dante Palombo won the faceoff directly back to Oblak.
  • Middlebury added two goals in the second period to take a 5-0 lead.
  • The Panthers pulled away in the third period with two more goals.
