Women's Ice Hockey Downed at Mercyhurst, Nelson Tallies First Goal

ERIE, Pa. - The Saint Michael's College women's ice hockey team returned to action for the first time since Dec. 7 with an 11-1 loss to Mercyhurst University on Saturday at Mercyhurst Ice Arena. First-year Anna Nelson (Norwood, N.Y./Middlesex Black Bears) scored for the Purple Knights in her college debut.

  • At 12:38 of the third frame, Nelson scored to highlight her college debut, one-timing LeBlanc's pass from behind the net just inside the right post from deep in the slot.
