COLCHESTER, Vt. - The Saint Michael's College men's basketball team lost to Adelphi University, 74-50, on Sunday during Northeast-10 Conference play in the Ross Sports Center. The Panthers, who extended their winning streak to nine games, received votes toward the latest D2 CSC national poll.

THE ACTION
- Adelphi's 12-7 lead on Rancy's dunk at 10:20 was the largest advantage for either team during the opening 13:04 of the contest until Pierre Philippe's pair of free throws made it 24-15 at 5:25.
- De Leon, Duniver and Crews all buried threes in a go-ahead 11-2 run before the end of the half, with first-year Rico Byrd's (East Moline, Ill./The Kiski School) driving lay-up giving Saint Michael's a 31-29 edge with 29 seconds to go.
- Directly off of an inbounds play, senior Matthew Price banked in a three-point heave at the buzzer to give the Panthers a one-point lead heading into the locker room.
- Three additional players scored as the run reached 10-0 by 18:12 of the second half, when the visitors led 39-31, but Duniver's step-back jumper sparked a 5-0 push that brought Saint Michael's within three by 16:56.
- Pierre Philippe countered with a three 17 seconds later, and Adelphi slowly built upon an ensuing 46-40 lead behind a 10-1 run before putting the game away with a game-ending 15-5 stretch.
