WALTHAM, Mass. - The Saint Michael's College men's basketball team lost to Bentley University, 80-69, on Wednesday evening during a Northeast-10 Conference affair in the Dana Center.

THE ACTION
  • In a contest that saw the lead change hands 14 times, the teams swapped eight leads by the time 9:45 remained in the first half when Farrall buried a three-pointer to give Bentley a 19-18 edge. To that point, Farrall accounted for all of his team's scoring. Similarly, Crews scored 19 of his team's 35 first-half points.
  • Farrall's triple sparked a 14-2 run that made it 30-20 by 4:07 before the Purple Knights countered with an 18-7 stretch that carried into the second half. Duniver netted eight points and Crews six, as the former's trey 43 seconds into the final stanza gave his team a 38-37 edge.
  • Six lead swings occurred in the opening 9:55 of the period, during which time neither squad led by more than four points. After Kenney's pair of freebies gave Saint Michael's a 51-50 edge at 11:52, McClure buried a three with 10:05 to go, kicking off a 7-0 push that provided Bentley a six-point lead.
  • Andersson's lay-in had the visitors down 61-58 at 5:00 before Latham hit a three 19 seconds later, but the Purple Knights twice drew within four points prior to Farrall knocking down a three at 2:54. Latham's jumper at 2:07 extended the lead to nine, and the Falcons continued to lead by at least two possessions from there.
