- Lavender made 15 stops in a shutout first period, including sliding out of her net and outwaiting redshirt sophomore Alexa Degan near the right post with 8:30 gone.
- At 14:02, Lavender denied first-year Eliza Quackenbush's one-timer out front during a Shark power play.
- In the second frame, first-year Kyler Weatherred (Eagle, Colo./Team Colorado AAA Hockey Club) was stopped on the doorstep when Kammholz slid post-to-post to cover the left side at 5:24.
- Lavender had another 13 saves while keeping the Sharks off the board in the frame, including back-to-back saves of senior Anya Weilandt around the crease at 8:25 before stopping Quackenbush's ensuing bid from the left circle.
- Lavender also smothered senior Paige Vreeman's breakaway try at 13:34, just seconds after a teammate was released from the penalty box, and stopped a 2-on-1 rush 22 seconds later.
- During a 16-save third period, Lavender ensured overtime by saving junior Grace Babington's shot from the right circle off her forehead at 17:32 and making a glove stop of Dyczkowski during a 2-on-1 breakout with 25.3 seconds to go.
- Lavender splayed out to turn away junior Izzy Krause during a 2-on-0 opportunity 2:15 into overtime, during which possession was controlled by the Purple Knights.
- A little more than a minute later in the 3-on-3 extra session, Dyczkowski skated around the net during a delayed penalty before settling in the slot and beating Lavender to her glove corner with 3:17 gone.
