Men's Soccer Loses at Bentley in Regionally-Ranked Matchup

WALTHAM, Mass. - In a meeting between regionally-ranked Northeast 10 Conference men's soccer teams, Saint Michael's College lost to Bentley University, 4-1, on Saturday. The Purple Knights were seventh in this week's United Soccer Coaches East Region poll, while the Falcons stood fourth.

THE ACTION
  • Pollard put Bentley ahead in the fourth minute on the game's first shot, sending a blast from the edge of the box. Spitznagle doubled the lead in the 12th minute, pouncing on a rebound after Smith dove out to save an initial bid.
  • Shortly after halftime, Drahos scored in the 49th minute before tallying again 3:40 later, both times heading home teammates' serves.
  • With 28 seconds to go, Clark ran onto Burnham's long free kick and headed his second goal of the season past Hall.
