THE ACTION
- The opening set featured nine ties and six lead changes. Neither team led by more than two points until the Owls broke open a 13-12 contest with a clinching 12-2 run.
- Southern Connecticut State scored seven of the first eight points in the second set and led by as many as 11 points before Almeida notched three blocks in a 6-0 run that brought her team within 23-20. Bennett responded with a kill before her team added the next point.
- The Purple Knights were within 13-10 on Settles' kill in set no. 3 before the Owls scored the next five points, never again leading by fewer than five.
