FAIRFIELD, Conn. - The Saint Michael's College women's ice hockey team lost to Sacred Heart University, 6-0, on Saturday during New England Women's Hockey Alliance (NEWHA) play at the Martire Family Arena.

  • Lavender made 17 saves in a shutout opening period before turning away another 18 shots in the second, keeping the Pioneers off the board until 8:22 was gone, when Cohen scored. Sophomore Hailey Jussila netted a shorthanded insurance strike 4:36 later.
