THE ACTION
- Junior Isabel Goolie (Anchorage, Alaska/Gilmour Academy) and sophomore Brianna Jarvis (Swanton, Vt./BFA-Saint Albans) worked a 2-on-1 early in the contest before Goolie's quick touch out front was stopped by Saunders with 5:40 gone.
- First-year Peyton Tully put Post ahead at 13:04 on her team's third bid from out front after Lavender denied the first two, and sophomore Caryss Kehl made it 2-0 2:39 later by sending a shot home from the left point on the power play.
- Hoen added to the lead by converting Rose's backdoor pass 2:20 into the second period.
- First-year Kali Boychuk (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan/Windsor Southwest Wildcats) nearly put the hosts on the board at 10:32, when her shot from the point took a weird hop behind Saunders directly up off the crossbar.
- The Eagles scored twice in the final 3:22 off of giveaways in the Purple Knight defensive zone.
- Saint Michael's outshot the Eagles, 17-10, in a scoreless third period. Dans stopped all 10 shots sent her way.
