THE ACTION
  • Early in the contest, Patfield stole the puck at her own blue line before going high glove side from the left circle at the other end for the opening goal 2:20 in.
  • Hoen charged from neutral ice into the Purple Knight zone and scored in similar fashion with 14:00 gone, backhanding a high shot to Dans' glove side from deep in the left circle.
  • Goolie trimmed the deficit 1:43 later, pushing a loose puck in after touches from Hetman and Jarvis.
  • Boychuk drew the teams even at 15:15 of the second period, scoring from out front after Weatherred forced a giveaway in the right circle.
  • Just six seconds after the end of a Post power play, during which Dans made three saves, Cameron's shot from the left point found its way through bodies at 9:19 of the third period to put the Eagles back on top.
  • With Dans pulled for an extra skater in the final minute, the Purple Knights put one bid toward the Post net, but Weatherred had a shot blocked by Hoen with 18 seconds to go.
